The most distinctive feature of the Carabinero shrimp is its vibrant red shell. Even before cooking, its shell displays a bright, striking red colour. Their heads are also larger, often containing a bit of orange-red oil, which gives them a full, rich look and imparts an especially intense, savoury flavour.

Living in the deep sea, Carabinero shrimp develop dense muscle tissue, resulting in a very firm yet tender texture. Due to their unique habitat and the limited quantities caught, Carabinero shrimp have a restricted supply, making them a rare delicacy in high-end markets. Our Carabinero shrimp are U10 in size, the largest size currently available on the market.
