How to defrost:

Refrigerator Method (Recommended):

To defrost your scallops using the refrigerator method, place the sealed tray of scallops in a single layer on a shelf in your refrigerator. Leave the scallops in the refrigerator for 24 hours, allowing them to defrost slowly and evenly. Before cooking, ensure that the scallops are fully defrosted for the best results.

Cold Water Method:

For a quicker defrosting process, you can use the cold water method. Submerge the sealed tray of scallops in a large bowl or sink filled with cold water. To maintain a constant cold temperature, change the water every 30 minutes. This method typically takes about 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size and quantity of scallops. Once the scallops are fully defrosted, proceed to cook them immediately.
