Cleaned Wild-Caught Squid (Loligo vulgaris), also known as European squid, is prized for its delicate texture and mild, ocean-sweet flavour. Harvested from the cold, nutrient-rich waters of Scotland and the Netherlands, these squid are caught using Seine (flyshoot) methods - ensuring minimal damage to the meat and preserving their natural freshness.
Each piece comes fully cleaned: headless, skinless, and gutted, saving you preparation time and making it perfect for home cooks and professional kitchens alike. You may also hear it referred to as “pencil squid,” “calamari,” or simply “middle-sized squid” depending on the local market.
